In 2021 we entered into a seven-year-long commitment with Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame as presenting sponsor of the Indigenous Sport Heroes Education Experience. This changemaker resource was inspired by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action and aims to prompt conversation about equity and inclusion, through the lens of sport.

Our community events units are currently located in the lower mainland of B.C., Calgary and in the Ottawa region. The program allows us another way to support events in the communities where we live and work. Community organizations in these regions are free to apply to have our community events trailer at their events. All applications are reviewed and provided the unit – free of rental costs – for use. It’s another way Black Diamond Group gives back to our communities.

Since 2014, Black Diamond has proudly partnered with the Dallas Stars Alumni as the presenting sponsor of the Annual Community Chest Charity Alumni Game. The Dallas Stars Alumni and other NHL Alumni, along with members of the community take to the ice to raise funds for local community charity initiatives aimed at keeping kids involved in hockey programs.

Since 2013 Black Diamond has been an Official Partner of the Shaw Charity Classic, which has raised more than $61 million for Alberta children’s charities.

Since 2009, Black Diamond Group has been a strong supporter of United Way in Calgary and area and received a Community Impact nomination for Campaign Excellence in 2021. United Way gives individuals and families the opportunity to reach their potential and improve their quality of life.
